Ohio Adventure

Hi friends,

I recently took a mini road trip to Yellow Springs, OH
& wanted to share some of the photos I took. We mainly
went to Yellow Springs to see the gorgeous and ever so popular
sunflower field. I've actually never been to a sunflower field
before so was blown away at the beauty of it. I felt like I was
in an endless sea of flowers, it was breath taking! After we
adventured through the sunflowers, we headed over
to Clifton Mills for some lunch and to scope out the place.
The restaurant was super adorable and oh my gosh you guys,
the chicken & waffles was m o u t h w a t e r i n g. You
could tell everything was homemade and it honestly
tasted so good. Its a must try when visiting! They
also had a gift shop towards the front of the restaurant
filled with adorable decor, souvenirs, & baked goods. The
main attraction at Clifton Mills was the actual water mill, which
was neat to see & take photos of. I bet this area would
be even more gorgeous during Fall peak with all
the different colored leaves { I may need to go back.
& to get those waffles ;) }. I would suggest this
fun little trip outside of Columbus to anyone as
its nice little hour getaway in the country.

WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!

WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!

Gosh that feels so good and crazy to say! The last few weeks
(let's be honest most of Summer) has seriously flown by. I know
I keep saying that in my last few posts but it really has. We started
looking at houses middle of June and had our offer accepted end
of June so it's definitely been a crazy last few weeks. We've
officially been in the house for a little over a month and we
absolutely love it! Although the projects and my"I want this, and this,
and this, etc." seem endless, we're making progress one step at a time.
The first thing we did after we moved in was paint the
downstairs and staircase. I'll share some snaps below
but the original paint color was not our style. Believe it
or not, my husband picked out the paint colors so allllll
the kudos to him. Paint truly makes a difference and
were beyond happy with the result. Next project is paint the downstairs
half bath and purchase new living room + kitchen furniture. I'm sure
I'll be sharing more photos of the house here soon but below is a little
a sneak peak :) Enjoy!

What I've been up to

Hi friends!

Cannot believe its August already {crazy}
I feel like Summer is just flying by! As I mentioned before,
I've been a little quite on here as the last few weeks have
been busy {I promise I'll post why ;)} so apologies
for my lack of Summer posts.  July was a month full of celebrations
with my 4 year work anniversary, 2 year wedding anniversary,
& my birthday! Definitely blessed to celebrate with family & friends.
Aside from celebrations, I hope to get back into the swing of things over
the next few weeks. In the meantime, here are some snaps to enjoy. Chat soon!

Ashley Nicole, xo

4th of July Recap

Happy { belated } 4th of July!

I swear the month of June flew right by. Can't believe
July 4th was just yesterday, CRAZY! Apologies for being
a little quite on here. The month of May + June have been insanely
busy with weddings, holiday festivities, work, life in general, and
something exciting currently going on that I hope to share soon :)

Since the last few weeks have been crazy busy, we decided to stay
in for July 4th and relax at the house. The day before the 4th, our
town hosted fireworks and they were let off right by our apartment!
We could see them by standing on our patio which was super
convenient and nice. We spent the 4th by sleeping in and made
french toast with fresh berries, cool whip, & a glass
of iced coffee while we watched Fixer Upper. I got a work out in,
hit up the grocery store, & relaxed outside for a bit. Dinner
consisted of burgers, corn on the cob, chips, & festive chocolate chip
cookie ice cream sandwich { soooo good }. Below are some photo recaps, enjoy!

Ashley Nicole, xo
