Christmas Eve

Merry Christmas Eve, everyone!

Today I want to share with you my Christmas Eve attire.
I saw this stunning dark red velvet dress at T.J. Maxx's
awhile ago and knew it would be perfect for the holidays!

I love that its velvet, making it warm & cozy for winter.
What I love about this dress is it goes so well with statement
jewelry. I already knew what accessories I would wear as
soon as I saw it on the rack ;-) All my jewelry is from
Charming Charlies  { very inexpensive } and my shoes
{ worn on my wedding day } are from DSW. Since
its a bit chilly outside, I threw on this scarf for warmth.
Dressing up and adding sparkly jewelry really puts me in the
Christmas spirit and looks nice for alllll the festivities.

Hope everyone has a blessed & very Merry Christmas!

Sincerely,
Ashley Nicole, xo

Festive Wear

Goooood Morning!

I wanted to quickly share an easy and festive look
for the holidays. I purchased this grey sweater dress
awhile ago. It's perfect because its very cozy and
goes great with just about anything. To add some
festive touch, I threw on this plaid scarf & added
red lipstick. Ta-da! Just by adding one or two
festive touches, it automatically creates a
perfect holiday look.

Thankful

Happy Thanksgiving, y'all!

Today I want to share with you my
Thanksgiving outfit! I always opt for
a floral dress however this year I decided to
switch it up. And by switching it up I mean I'm
trying this new thing where I'm not buying clothes
so I put together an outfit from my closet... :)

I love that this solid heather grey dress can be
dressed up or down. To glam up my dress,

I threw on this cozy plaid cardigan & booties.
To make the outfit more dressier, I layered these gorgeous
necklaces from Charming Charlies I bought earlier this year.
I love how a simply touch of jewelry really
glams up an outfit. And just like that, my Thanksgiving
outfit is complete!

This year I'm THANKFUL for...
{ my husband }
{ family & friends }
{ health }
{ those who serve }

Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Sincerely,
Ashley Nicole, xo

Gettin' Crafty!

Hello lovies!

Sharing a few pictures with you of my recent craft project!

Stephen had an old trunk filled with baseball cards that
was just sitting around at our apt. I finally got annoyed
with it collecting dust and ALMOST threw it out when I
realized I could turn it into something more. I decided to
paint it black and place it in our living room where we can
store extra blankets. How fun?!!  I picked up some paint from
Michael's and did 2 coats plus a touch up of the gold trim
with a paint marker. Ta-da! Looks completely different!

I love how it turned out and can't wait to swap
out the decor on top for each season! So glad I kept
this little gem. And yes, my cat LOVES attention
and posing for the camera! :)

Ashley Nicole, xo

Wedding Guest Attire: Fall Addition

Hello!

Today I thought I would show you what to wear to a Fall wedding.
Now, I know with today's society dressing for weddings are a bit
different however I feel for most weddings this dress would be
ideal!

I first fell in love with the color of this dress. It's more
of a grey/blue hue with cream colored floral print and splashes
of dark wine. I love that the main color is grey, making it toned
down and more neural looking for Fall. I especially love the
longer cap sleeves and that its a maxi, perfect for when the
cooler temps approach.

For accessories, I added accents of gold.
Also, this is a great opportunity to rock the darker lips!
I like how it matches my fingernail polish :-)

Ashley Nicole, xo

Marley Lilly Monogrammed Tote Bag

Hi sun shines!

Today I want to share with you this gorgeous
scalloped monogrammed tote bag that Marley Lilly
sent me. Ya'll, isn't this the cutest tote bag your
eyes have ever seen? Swoon. It's a head turner for sure!

My favorite part about this tote bag is the scalloped
top detail, which instantly adds a girly touch. I also
love the color making it versatile throughout the seasons.
I was pleasantly surprised of how sturdy and nice the
leather was.  You can tell this tote bag is high quality.
It's the perfect size for school, work, or a carry-on.
I'll definitely be swapping out my old work tote
bag for this one.

I got this tote bag in the color tan. My initials
are font style master circle script in font color cognac.
You can view this bag, here

This is just ONE of the amazing items Marley Lilly offers.
They have tons of personalized gift items for birthdays, weddings,
teachers, etc.  What's also great about Marley Lilly is the option to
view your monogram on their products. You can alter what color,
font style, etc. you would like which is a lovely feature.
Make sure to check out their page for the latest and greatest, here.

Thank you, Marley Lilly!

Life Update--I'm MARRIED!

Wow oh wow! It's been awhile since I posted on here.
I got married two weeks ago so wedding planning definitely took a toll
on my blog posts. I wanted to share outfit or cooking posts but my
mind was elsewhere so I apologize in advance :-)

Now, let me fill you in on the wedding...
Stephen & I got married on July 22nd, 2017 in my hometown.
Our venue was a gorgeous white barn in the middle of the country, the
location + venue was truly magical. We lucked out with a great place for an
even better price (compared to Cbus venues) so I was ecstatic.

The color scheme was mint green & coral and I loved how everything
turned out. picked those colors because I wanted a more toned down color
scheme--sometimes bright turquoise and coral can be too much/take away
from the bride. Each bridesmaid got to pick out their own dress which I
thought showed each of their personalities AND it was a huge money saver.
For the groomsmen, we went with light grey and mint ties.
Now for my dress....I knew I wanted a lace ivory/champagne colored dress,
with straps. When I walked into Wendy's Bridal and saw my dress on the
rack, I looked at my Mom and said "That's my dress, I just know it.!"
And I was right, it was my dream dress and it couldn't be any more perfect.

A lot of our decorations I got from Hobby Lobby, Joann's, Marshall's,
and Homegoods. Our invites/programs came from Vista Print, which
helped save money. Just remember that the more money you spend
on an invite/program--the more money you're wasting. People
will just throw it away--so try to budget some lower cost invites :-)
Speaking of budget saving tips--I/bridesmaids did our own hair
+ make-up and my jewelry came from Charming Charlies. There
are ways to save money for a wedding--you just have to dig deep!

All of our vendors were local--which was sentimental and helped
saved money too. They were great to work with--down to earth
folks who were willing to make your special day perfect.

Even though it sprinkled at our outdoor ceremony, everything
turned out wonderful. It's crazy to think you plan, plan, plan
and then poof---its allll over. Our wedding was amazing and
our preview pictures are even better!

Summer Shift Dress

Hi lovelies,

Today is a short post but wanted to share this simple and darling
shift dress. I love how white and blue instantly makes any outfit
classy, crisp, and clean. It's a perfect dress to throw on without
adding a lot of accessories. I added some wedges, gold studs, and
pink lipstick! I also love how pink and white go great with this dress,
which is why I snapped some photos with my flowers outside.
On a side note, my cat is shedding all of her winter fur but
her tail is still as fluffy as can be. I couldn't resist showing this
adorable picture of her <3

Sincerely,
Ashley Nicole, xo
