Good Morning

Hello sun shines!

Today I want to share with you my Summer

Morning Routine. I've always found it

intriguing to hear + see what other people

do for their morning routine. Not sure why but

I love it, haha. So why not share what I do? 

I will say my Summer morning routine is

very laid back. Usually Sundays are my

husband & I's relaxing day together

so we spend it by sleeping in, making

waffles, & keeping our crazy cats in control.

Enjoy!

{ 1 } First thing I do when I wake up is use the restroom, wash my face, 

& brush my teeth. It helps me feel refreshed & wakes me up!

{ 2 } Make the bed! Fun fact about me is I CANNOT stand an

un-made bed. HATE IT! I would risk being late somewhere

just to make sure my bed was made. I think its the inner OCD in me 

wanting to make sure everything is neat + tidy at all times. Even though

I straighten up the apartment before I go to bed, sometimes there's still

a few items to put away (like dishes or folding a blanket) so I make

sure everything is neat + tidy before I start anything else. I love the feeling

of a well kept house before you start your day! 

{ 3 } Water the plants! I have two portulaca pots and a mini

cactus I need to take care of and or water--so I make sure I do that

first thing in the morning.

{ 4 } WAFFLES! Recently Stephen & I have been making 

waffles every Sunday (oops!) and we love it! We love our waffle

maker and trying out different recipes. Our favorite is chocolate chip 

with PB or chocolate chip with banana on top. And of course lots of nuts!  

After we make breakfast, I love sitting down to a magazine or watch 

Pioneer Woman with a cup of coffee--my favorite part of the morning! 

Also, how cute are these pj's I scored from TJ Maxx's? Are they not

the cutest thing? I love the crisp & feminine look to them!

Peonies are always a good idea

Hi, friends!

Today I want to share with you these

GORGEOUS peonies! Don't you just love these big

and beautiful flowers? They are so stunning in person.

There's a peony farm just down the road from my husband

 & I that I've been dying to to see. The peony farm is called

Red Twig Farms in New Albany, OH. I went on their season opener 

and it was already busy at 8:05 am. When you first walk in their 

little store, they have this adorable chalk board display---so of course

I snapped a picture! Then you walk over to pick out your peonies.

They have several peonies in a variety of colors. You just walk around

the table and pick as many as you want. They also have another table

of filler flowers and then a shelve full of different vases to pick from. 

You could also buy peony plants which several people were purchasing.

I decided to keep everything simple so I picked out { 5 } stems and then

checked out. When I picked out my peonies they were closed but

by the next day, they started to open up and continue to get bigger.

I still cant get over how big they get and how beautiful they are. 

They may be one of my favorite flowers! Enjoy!
